Syeed Chowdhury is a seasoned marketing executive with 20+ years of experience in technology startups, fortune 500, marketing and IT consulting companies - providing strategic and go-to-market directions for technology products, solutions and services. Additionally, he oversaw a number of operational units including Marketing and Product management, Alliance and Channels, Business operations, Technical sales and Consulting services.
Before joining Apurba, Syeed was a technology marketing consultant at General Electric (GE) software, a leading innovator of revolutionary “Industrial Internet” platform. Syeed was responsible for identifying and quantifying multi-billion dollar market opportunities of Software-as-a-Service(SaaS) in asset and operation optimization management categories enabled by platform’s private and public cloud, big data and analytics engines for healthcare, aviation, transportation, energy and financial services industry. In addition, he successfully conceptualized and drove the market facing vision for the industrial platform ecosystem adoption and service marketplace strategy.
Prior to GE, Syeed worked as an IT platform marketing consultant at Broadcom Corporation, where he was responsible for leading marketing initiatives, including platform vision and business case development of Broadcom’s global cloud enabled collaborative platform for product co-development with customers, partners and 3rd party developers.
Before that Syeed worked as a senior product line and planning manager at Altera Corporation, where he developed and managed strategic alliance program between Altera and key global mobile equipment and handset manufacturers. He also established digital lead generation activities; developed sales enable tools and marketing collaterals.
Syeed spent over eight years at Synopsys Corporation in different roles in marketing, sales and engineering organization. Syeed joined Synopsys as a software developer, developing software models for IC verification environment. Then he moved to a technical marketing manager role where led Synopsys’s verification product’s technical direction, developed competitive marketing collaterals for sales enablement and process for incorporate customer feedback in the development process. Later he moved to a technical sales manager position where he managed and supported global technical solution-selling motions for strategic customers for $2B Synopsys verification software product line. He was responsible for establishing complex technical bench marking case, driving design win strategy of integrated solutions and developing technical competitive collateral. For his exceptional sales enablement initiative and significant contribution for revenue earning, Syeed was awarded with “Synopsys Excellence Award”.
With B.Sc and M.Sc degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Portland State University, USA, Syeed begin his career as software engineer, developing muti-threaded parallel testing software to verify hardware and software using distributed system for Radisys/Intel,.
