Astrid has worked as a business analyst, consultant, solutions architect, release manager, test manager, trainer and project manager in a range of industries since 1998.
Astrid has excellent communications skills and works well with personnel at all levels. She is well versed in the Prince2 methodology and holds a PMP certification, but is also experienced at applying agile methods to software development projects, including those in distributed and validated environments. She regularly attends and speaks at conferences, is on the conference committee and Publicity Officer for ACCU (www.accu.org), coordinates technical book reviews for cVu magazine, and organises fund-raising events for Bletchley Park and The National Museum of Computing. She is also proud to be a recent finalist for the UK Women in IT Awards.
She is originally from New York, incredibly tenacious, as one would expect from a New Yorker. One of her interests outside work is mountaineering and in fact she once ran an outsourcing project while at Everest base camp.
